Tabi & Child - Telford Mum

The family behind Telford Family Guide

Hi, I’m Tabi
I’m a mum with a toddler, and like most parents, I’m balancing work, family life, and everything in between.

Telford Family Guide started from something really simple. I kept seeing the same questions come up again and again on local pages…
“What’s on this weekend?”
“Can anyone recommend a good plumber?”
“Where can I take the kids that won’t cost a fortune?”

The answers were always scattered. Different posts, different opinions, and nothing in one place you could rely on.

When I moved to Telford, I found it surprisingly hard to work out what was actually out there for families. At the same time, my partner Ben had come back from the military and could see how much the town had changed.

There was more going on than ever, but no single place that brought it all together in a way that actually helped families.

So instead of waiting for one, we built it.

What this is really here for

The aim is simple. To make life a bit easier for families in Telford. That means:

• Helping you find things to do without spending hours searching.
• Sharing local businesses that are genuinely worth your time.
• Highlighting deals that actually make a difference.
• Passing on simple ways to save money where you can.

Nothing complicated, nothing overwhelming. Just things that are actually useful.

Everything on here comes back to one question:

“Would I recommend this to a friend?”

If the answer’s no, it doesn’t go on the site.

Why it matters

This isn’t a big business or a content project built for clicks.

It’s something I wanted myself. A place you can check quickly, trust what you see, and get on with your day knowing you’ve made a decent choice for your family.

If it helps people feel more connected locally, saves a bit of money, or just makes weekends easier with the kids, then it’s doing exactly what it’s meant to do.

And if it grows into something that supports our daughter’s future along the way, that’s a bonus.

💜 One more way we help

We know that managing family finances is one of the biggest stresses parents face. That’s why we’ve partnered with Utility Warehouse to help local families simplify their bills and find extra savings. It’s not a hard sell, just a quiet way we offer practical help to our community.
